Gift Ideas For Valentine's Day - Embroidered Heart Pendants

Here are a selection of my embroidered heart pendants.

These are made using a hand tool called a punch needle, which makes a single loop of embroidery thread on the backing fabric with each 'punch'. The resulting embroidery is like a miniature 'rug' with lots of surface texture.

The price quoted includes a gift box and UK postage & packaging (small charges apply for worldwide shipping).

Variegated Lilac with Green Sparkle, £25

Yellow and Teal Star Pattern, £25

Pink & Purple Swirl Pattern, £25

Shades of Red, £25

Pink Swirl Pattern (minor imperfection to mount), £23

My items are split between my Folksy and Etsy shops. I can list any item on your preferred platform - just contact me with your requirements.

Mixed Media Miniature Art Works

Here are some of my latest pieces. They are made from a punch needle centre, set in a painted, papier mȃché frame.
The punch needle embroidery is worked by punching each loop through the backing fabric using a hand tool to form a textured surface: just like making a miniature rug!

This is the frame and tool I use for working with. The picture above shows the front of the work, with the tool and embroidery threads.

This close-up shows the reverse, 'working side' of the fabric that you punch from. There is a very clear description of the technique on Wikihow called "How To Needle Punch".

We've Got Snow!

For only the second time this winter, we have had a few inches of snow. Here are a few scenes from Brock's morning walk, starting with sunrise this morning:-

Me in my new hat (thank you, Juliet!) with Brockie Boy.

It was only when I was looking at the photos when I got home that I noticed the 'ghost' finials on the gateposts.
